Hi Ashlyn, I've sketched out the fields we'd use for our online nursery listings — both Seeds and Plants — starting from the seed items you've already built in Square and the fields our existing plant pages use. You know this material far better than I do, so I'd love your eye on it.
Just work through the questions below — pick options, tweak the values, and leave comments anywhere. When you're done, tap Submit at the bottom and your answers come straight to me — nothing to download or email. Your progress saves automatically as you go, so you can stop and pick up later. — Wally
Proposed: split into Seeds (pick-up + mail order) and Plants (local pick-up only). Seeds keep the pickup + shipping setup you already have; plants are pickup only.
You're using JFGN# (JFGN1, JFGN2…). We can keep that running across both categories, or split them.
These are entered in Square, just like now. The main change: the scientific name leads, with the common name in parentheses on the customer-facing title — matching our existing plant pages.
These power the website filters (shop by sun/shade, zone, native, etc.). For each: set Required / Optional / Remove, edit the allowed values if you'd word them differently, and comment. Add any you think are missing at the bottom.

Idea: you keep writing a short 1–2 sentence blurb in Square (like now); the longer, detailed version lives on the website product page. A sync makes sure the website's long description is never overwritten — same as our current plant pages.
Things like zone, light, or origin entered as custom fields in Square don't show up in the export, so I want to avoid setting them up twice.
Thank you — your answers have been sent.
